Self-Portraiture: Double Exposure
For the World When you're only 5'2, it becomes a norm to be standing or just jumping (and pretending to fly). It saddens me to see that nowadays, people take this flying as an equivalent to freedom. They take it as a freedom to express their loud opinions as an act of rebellion. They dance against the choreography, because it makes them stand out. They pursue things that aren't of God to stand out. And when everyone is dancing against the choreography, there is no dance anymore. Instead of responding by preforming an unchoreographed solo, my hopes are that people will begin to understand that yes, uniqueness is sought after, but instead of dancing directly against what is choreographed, I hope people will see the beauty in standards, and pursue what is set as a moral goodness, so we may more easily work together to make the world a better place. |
